Bids open for Deaconess Aquatic Center


3 BRAD– THE EVANSVILLE PARKS BOARD OPENED BIDS TODAY TO BUILD THE DEACONESS AQUATICS CENTER.THE CAP FOR THE PROJECT IS AROUND 26 TO 27 MILLIONS DOLLARS.WE’RE TOLD THE BOARD WILL START LOOKING AT THE BIDS IN DETAIL TODAY AND HOPEFULLY AWARD BIDS IN AUGUST.THE SITE FOR CONSTRUCTION IS ALREADY PREPARED WITH A SHELTER HOUSE, BASKETBALL COURTS AND FORMER GARVIN PARK POOL ALL REMOVED.(BRIAN HOLTZ)”Keep in mind, we have plans down the road working on replacing those baketball courts somewhere else in the park, as well as a new shelter in Garvin Park as well.”PLANS ARE TO OPEN THE NEW POOL IN NOVEMBER OF 20-20. 3 3 BRAD– TONIGHT ANOTHER SET OF DEMORATIC PRESIDENTIAL
