FWP inspects more than 50,000 watercraft for aquatic invasive species


Montana Fish and Wildlife Fish Wildlife and Parks says more than 50,000 watercraft have been inspected for invasive species so far this summer according to fwp 12 boats have been intercepted including three contaminated votes at the anaconda check station on July 18th the state has also taken more than 500 samples from waters across the state so far no samples have tested positive the state increased testing and mandated boat inspections after samples taken in 2016 showed possible muscle contamination in Canyon ferry and Tiber reservoirs boaters are reminded to clean drain and dry their watercraft and stop at every inspection station when traveling with their boat
