AT LEAST ONCE A DAY, JUST ABOUT EVERY DAY, LIFEGUARDS AT VALLEY VIEW AQUATIC CENTER RESPOND TO AN EMERGENCY.>>EVERYBODY OUT OF THE POOL RIGHT NOW. KIM: THANKFULLY, EVERYONE WAS OK TODAY, BUT YESTERDAY –>>THERE WAS A TRIPLE WHISTLE. KIM: THAT SOUND SENDS EVERY STAFF MEMBER RUNNING.>>AT FIRST, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ONE OF THEIR DRILLS UNTIL I SAW ALL THE OTHER ONES COMING OVER AND THEY PULLED HIM OUT OF THE WATER AND HE WAS LIMP AND THAT’S WHEN I STARTED TO GET REALLY SCARED. KIM: JOHN RUMBAUGH WAS IN THE SHALLOW LEISURE POOL WITH HIS KIDS WHEN LIFEGUARDS PULLED THE LIFELESS 4-YEAR-OLD BOY FROM THE WATER THAT WAS JUST UNDER 4 FOOT DEEP.>>IT WAS PRETTY SCARY HAVING KIDS OF MY OWN. KIM: POOL STAFF IMMEDIATELY PUT THEIR TRAINING SKILLS IN ACTION.>>WE NEED TO GET 911, WE NEED TO GET HIM BREATHING, WE NEED TO DO ALL THE STEPS FOR CPR. IT IS REALLY JUST INSTINCT THAT TAKES OVER. KIM: VALLEY VIEW MANAGER LISA GARDNER AND ASSISTANT MANAGER CARTER WHITE PERFORMED 2 PERSON CPR FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE THE BOY WAS BREATHING BEFORE EMS ARRIVED.>>IT WAS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE TH THEY WERE ABLE TO GET HIM BACK, BECAUSE WHEN I SAW HIS FACE I WAS JUST TERRIFIED.>>IS WHAT WE ARE TRAINED TO DO, EXPECTED TO DO. KEEP EVERYBODY SAFE. KIM: POOL STAFFERS EXPECT
