Papio Bay Aquatic Center encounters troubled water

THE OPERATORS OF “PAPIO BAY” AQUATIC CENTER — ARE DEALING WITH AN ISSUE THAT WILL FORCE IT TO LIMIT ITS USE FOR THE WEEKEND… AND THEN CLOSE FOR ABOUT A WEEK. THE CENTER HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING — “SOME PROBLEMS” THIS SEASON WITH “CLOUDY WATER”. TESTING HAS SHOWN — THAT THIS HAS RESULTED FROM “CHALKING” — COMING FROM THE POOL’S PAINT. IT DOES NOT POSE A HEALTH RISK… BUT IT DOES POSE CONCERNS ABOUT BEING ABLE TO SEE ALL THE DEPTHS OF THE POOL — AT ALL TIMES. TODAY, WE SAW PEOPLE BEING TURNED AWAY FROM THE POOL.. NOW THIS COULD BE DUE TO SEVERAL REASONS. ONLY SEASON PASS HOLDERS — AND PAPILLION RESIDENTS — WILL BE ALLOWED TO USE THE POOL THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND. ANOTHER CHANGE THIS WEEKEND: POOL HOURS WILL ONLY BE — FROM NOON TO -5-.. AND THE CAPACITY WILL BE REDUCED TO -800-. IT WILL CLOSE MONDAY… AND THEN RE-OPEN ON JUNE 27TH.
