WE WILL TALK ABOUT THAT IN A FEW MINUTES.>CAROLINA IS CLOSELY TOMORROW. AND INCIDENTS AND A TEENAGER AT HER COACH TO SEPARATE HOSPITALS. A FELLOW COACH TOLD US WHAT HAPPENED. DAN HAGGERTY IS LIVE OUTSIDE OF CHILDREN’S HOPE. Reporter: I SPENT THE ENTIRE AFTERNOON CALLING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE HOSPITAL TRYING TO GET AN UPDATE ON THE CONDITION OF THIS TEENAGE GIRL BUT FOR ALL WE KNOW IS HOW SHE GOT HERE. IT STARTED WITH A TERRIFYING MOMENT IN FRONT OF 23 TEAMMATES. THE CARROLL ISD CLUB TEAM OF ADVANCED SWIMMERS AT THE POOL AT 6:30 AM. BY 6:45 AM THE POOL EMPTY. I KNOW IT WAS AN INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED IN THE POOL. AT THE FIRST PART OF PRACTICE. JASON WALTER, THE COACH, WHO HAS THE STORY. TEAMMATES PULLED THE 13-YEAR- OLD GIRL TO THE POOL DECK AND THIS MAN RUSHED TO HELP. HE IS THE HEAD COACH FOR THE SWIM CLUB. BILL CHRISTIANSEN CARED FOR THE GIRL UNTIL MEDICS GOT TO THE POOL. THEN COLLAPSED IN THE AFTERMATH. HE HAD A HEART ATTACK. BOTH HAD TO BE RESTED TO THE HOSPITAL LEAVING EVERYONE IN DISBELIEF AND UNCERTAIN WHAT THE POOL BEING SHUT DOWN AND STUDENTS TURNED AWAY. WITH HIM BEING SO CLOSE AND WE DO SO MANY MEETS TOGETHER. JUST SOMETHING LIKE THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANY PROGRAM OR ANY PERSON THAT HAD ANY TIME. IT HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING. THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TELLING ME THAT COACH CHRISTIANSEN WENT BAYLOR HOSPITAL AND HE WAS IN GOOD CONDITION LAST CHECK.
