City of Casa Grande It’s summertime in Casa Grande, and the coolest place to be right now is the city pool. The Palm Island Family Aquatic Park is located inside Carr McNatt Park, and is the most popular place in town during the summer season. The pool is open daily, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, with open swim hours from 12:30 pm to
4:30 pm Tuesday through Sunday Admission for children ages 2 through 17 is a dollar, adults 18 and older are two dollars. Those under the age of 2 are free of charge. The Palm Island Family Aquatic Park is the best place to beat the heat for the entire family. The pool has been at it’s current location since 1964 and was originally known as the La Grande pool, which expanded to its current size in 2000 and renamed the Palm Island Family Aquatic Park. Some of the amenities of the facility include our starburst water feature, 8 foot aqua climb wall, pool basketball, water canon, amd gum drop water sprayers. But our most popular attraction is a 32 foot high, 150 foot long waterslide. In recent years, the pool has received some much needed renovations with new pool decking, intern pool plaster, and paint work being done at the facility. The pool works better today than when it first opened. Over the course of the summer, over 50 thousand people make their way through the facility to participate in swim lessons and classes as well as having private parties, special events and swim meets. In fact, the city will be offering almost 600 aquatics classes this summer for the community, as well as special events, such as a dive-in movie, Friday family swim nights, and our popular doggie dive-in.
